We’re headed off to North Carolina this weekend and have just reserved this Ocean Isle Beach NC rental. We’d looked at a lot of places online before coming across Sloane Vacations. We bring our boat along so it works out perfectly for us.After months of training we’re hoping to be in the Battleship North Carolina 1/2 Marathon on Sunday, Nov. 06 starting at 8:00 a.m. There’s also a Battleship 5K taking place too. The 13th Annual Carolina Sports Medicine Battleship North Carolina Half Marathon and Battleship 5K is a beautiful and challenging USATF certified (NC-05061-PH) half marathon that starts and finishes at the Battleship North Carolina across the river from downtown Wilmington, NC. The course crosses two bridges over the Cape Fear River, goes through historic downtown Wilmington, tours beautiful Greenfield Lake, and returns to the Battleship via the Memorial Bridge. Entries will be limited to 1,750 runners in the Half Marathon and 500 in the 5K. The course is challenging but has produced 8 State Records in their 12 year history!
